3 months already

What has been going on in the Goldman house you ask?  Plenty.  Aidan is 3 months old and growing quickly.  He has become very talkative and enjoys telling his stories and opinions to anyone or anything that will listen.  He loves to kick, especially when on the changing table, just to give mommy a hard time.  Aidan is becoming more coordinated with his hands, making sure his fingers and anything he can grasp ends up in his mouth.  He has moved on from the cradle next to mommy and daddy to his big boy crib in his own room, and is sleeping through the night.  Aidan begins his day by having his morning conversation with the sea creatures on the mobile.  Then, when mommy comes in, she is greated with a good morning smile and giggle.  The best part, is that Mindy was able to become a stay-at-home mommy and spend everyday with Aidan and Indy.
Aidan has been very busy.  He has taken part in his first fishing tournament, helping daddy reel in a good size white perch.  Aidan has become an Iron Birds fan, attending the last few games of the season to help with One Rock Studio, the official fan photographer of the Iron Birds.  He's also becoming a true Raven's fan, participating in Purple Fridays and watching the preseason and season opener games on TV.  Aidan is turning out to be a very sociable boy, smiling and grabbing the attention of passerby's while out on shopping trips with mommy.  Aidan and Indy also enjoy nice walks when the weather allows.  And everyone gets excited when daddy finally joins them after a long day at work.
Everyone is speding time preparing for upcoming events.  Mommy has been busy making costumes for the Harry Potter themed halloween.  Aidan seems to be very excited about his first halloween.  He is also exited to help with any One Rock Studio events.  He attended his first puppy party with big brother, Indy, at DuClaw Fells Point.
Plenty going on and much more to come.

One month has quickly gone by
It seems just yesterday that Aidan made his appearance.  How time does fly.  Aidan has passed the one month mark.  At his one month check-up, Aidan weighed in at 10 lbs 13 oz.  Remember, he was born at 7 lbs and 11 oz.  So, he is definitely a healthy growing boy!
Besides growing, Aidan has been a very busy little guy.  He makes sure to take time out of his day to enjoy tummy time, sometimes accompanied by big brother puppy Indy.  He has been included on quite a few shopping trips, including some to daddy's favorite store, Best Buy.  Aidan was seen scoping out a very nice LCD TV for his room.  But for now, he is fine with his IPOD shuffle (that he inherited after mommy had won it in a raffle) filled with lullaby tunes.
Lately, mommy has been taking Aidan and Indy for short morning walks in the morning.  After spending the nice time outside, mommy and boys can continue with their day.  Mommy has been working on a new venture; To Be Designs.  She has been designing a line of t-shirts that she originally created for Mike, Aidan and herself.
Mike has been keeping busy with One Rock Studio work.  Summer is the time for weddings, and One Rock has definitely seen it's share so far.
As always, the M&M duo, along with Aidan and Indy, are keeping plenty busy.  More updates are sure to come.  And plenty of pictures will continually be uploaded.

Mini M&M updates
Plenty has happened in the past few weeks.  The painting is done!  All the sea creatures now have eyes and friendly smiles and accent bubbles have been added around the room.  The paint cans and supplies have been removed in anticipation of the arrival of the furniture.  So far, the glider/rocker is taking up some space in the room.

Mindy's belly is rounding out nicely and is very noticeable.  The Mini M&M is becoming very active, kicking and moving often.  Bi-weekly doctor appointments are the norm now.  Mike and Mindy are registered for a few classes at the hospital to prepare them for the Mini's arrival.

The M&M duo have been staying busy with other activities as well.  The pair attended the Baltimore Blast playoff game, cheering the team to a championship win.  On April 18th, they participated in the long awaited wedding of Walt and Danielle.  Mindy enjoyed some bridesmaid preparation with a manicure and pedicure, and had her hair styled in a nice up-do to complement the lovely bridesmaid gown that fit perfectly without alteration.  Mike sported a very classy tux with the other groomsmen.  The weather was beautiful and the wedding was perfect.  Congrats to Walt and Danielle!!

On April 25th, Mindy, thinking she was attending an award ceremony for cousin Gina, was surprised to arrive at her Baby Shower.  With the amount of people in attendance, even the staff at Columbus Gardens could not believe it was a Baby Shower.  Special thanks to Gina, who was noted as the official hostess/organizer.  Many more thanks to the family and friends who helped us guarantee the Mini will not be naked for a single minute after he makes his appearance.  The little man will be the best dressed baby in Harford County.  Hopefully the furniture will be able to provide enough storage to accommodate all the new clothes, diapers, toys and other Mini supplies.

As always, pictures are available here

The arrival of the Mini M&M
Well, much has happened since the last post. It has been busy busy. The Mini M&M's room was completed and furnished. All the presents and clothes from the baby shower were put away. And it seemed all the necessary preparations for the Mini M&M's arrival were taken care of. Things were starting to get exciting. Mindy celebrated her 28th birthday on June 6th, and the M&M duo celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary on the 12th. So, why not add another event right behind these. Starting on the 10th, Mindy starting noticing, while at work for the day, she had become very anxious and antsy. There was still plenty to do, but how could house stuff get down while at work? Then there was Indy, who would not really leave his mommy's side for any reason. Signs of change? It seemed that way. Saturday the 13th, is when everything starting falling into place. About 9:00, Mindy and Mike were prepping to turn in for the night. The Mini M&M apparently had other plans in mind. While laying in bed, Mindy starting have contractions, and the time recording began. Within an hour, Mindy felt it was time to head up to the hospital. So, Mike took care of loading the bags, which were already ready and waiting by the door, and it was off to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Mindy was put on the monitors and patiently waited for the doc to come check everything out. The result...1 cm dialated...plenty more to go. The doc presented an option, stay and walk around for 2 hours to see if anything progresses, or go home with Ambien to get a little more shut eye. Well, being only 8 minutes away from the hospital, Mindy opted for the Ambien, and back home the duo went. The Ambien worked...for a while. 4:00 came around and Mindy was actually brought out of the Ambien induced sleep for stronger and closer contractions. The "funny" part, after a contraction, Mindy would fall back into the induced sleep coma until the next one. Time to head back to the hospital. The M&M duo got a great free parking spot in the Mom-to-Be spots right outside of the Family Birthplace entrance. And, having a good friend who happens to work as a nurse in the same hospital provides very useful benefits. Experiencing the contractions, and fighting off the Ambien, Danielle came to the rescue with a wheel chair to get Mindy successfully through the door. This time, Mindy was fully admitted and set up in her own personal room. Mike was busy updating anyone and everyone with phone calls and text messages. Mindy learned just how wonderful the epidural is, and was happy not to have to deal with the pain of contractions. After quite a few hours, the doc began taking steps to get things to progress along a little better. After 2 hours of pushing, Mindy was starting to feel a bit of pain again on one side, most likely from either a shift in the epidural "tap" or because it was starting to run on the low side. Again, the doc to the rescue. Apparently, the Mini M&M was doing nothing to make progress on his own. The only option left, a C-section. At this point, Mindy was fine with the decision because obviously, the little guy was not willing to work his way out on his own. And hour later, it was off to the OR. Mike was there, holding Mindy's hand throughout the procedure. After 45 minutes, we got the word the Mini M&M was out and then heard his first cry. Aidan Matthew Goldman was delivered at 8:43pm on June 14th. After he was cleaned and got the once over by the docs, daddy Mike got to be the first to hold baby Aidan. A few minutes later, the notice of baby Aidan's birth was announced to the entire hospital via the lullaby tune played for all new babies. The M&M duo with the new Mini M&M spent 3 days recouperating in the hospital before finally coming home. Big brother puppy, Indy, seems to be adjusting to the new additional pretty well. Plenty of pictures will be available soon. Keep on checking for regular updates.

Some quick updates
It's amazing how much can happen over one short weekend.  Besides a very busy Saturday for the Goldmans including a puppy photo event and a bachelorette party, plenty was able to get done.  A Friday night outing to Frederick resulted in the ordering of a very handsome nursery furniture set.  Photos of the set can be found here.  The set is Baby's Dreams Ocean.  What a fitting name for a furniture set going in an ocean-themed room.  A fairly relaxing Sunday gave Mindy a chance to draw all the remaining sea creatures in their bubbles.  The final step is to paint them and add a few smaller bubbles around the room.
Some information for those of you who may be curious, the M&M duo are registered at Babies R Us and Target (click the links to be taken to the registry).
